Google beat Wall Street expectations for its third quarter, reporting net income of $1.35 billion, or $4.24 a share, up from $1.25 billion, or $3.92 per share for the same quarter in 2007. Revenue was $5.54 billion, up from $5.37 billion a year ago. (statement).
